gnädiges Schreiben vom 14ten d., nebst den beiden Empfangzetteln für Marsden’s Sumatra und den fünfzehnten Band des Asiatic journal, habe ich richtig erhalten, und beeile mich nun, Ihnen über die 24 ersten Bände des Asiatic journal zu berichten.
Band 1. enhält: On the religion of Buddha (4 Briefe, in 4 Abtheilungen in dem Bande fortgesetzt).
b, A journal of a tour in the island of Java (by a gentleman resident at Batavia; in 2 Abtheilungen).
c, A discourse delivered to the literary and scientific society at Java in the year 1815 by Thom. Stamf. Raffles, President (in 2 Abtheilungen).
Band 2 enthält: Narrative of a journey to examine the remains of an ancient city and temples at Brambana, extracted from a journal kept by Lieut. Col. Mackenzie (in 4 Abtheilungen).
b, A sketch of the island of Borneo by the late Dr. Leyden.
Band 3: Beurtheilung von John Martin’s: account of the natives of the Tonga Islands. (in 2 Abtheilungen).

Ew. Excellenz werden die Gewogenheit haben mir zu befehlen, welche Bände ich Ihnen schicken soll. Das Buch über Ceylon hatte ich die Absicht Ew. Excellenz heute zu schicken, aber ich fand es nicht im Lesezimmer; ich hoffe es zu finden.
